VTE 200 light transport

The VTE-200 Light Transport is the first market design by Volo Tech Enterprises and was an attempt to show the rest of the Terran Protectorate what the long-neglected Volo colony world, devastated by environmental damage from the last war, had the potential to produce.
It was a noteworthy success on the market, especially since VTE worked with other corporations throughout the Protectorate as third-party manufacturers, since Volo lacked the industrial base to produce the ship in mass quantities.
It is an economical light transport, ideal for small shipping businesses, couriers and well-financed private owners.
Designed for Volo's rough climate, it is an all-environment transport that is capable of landing in hostile environments of high gravity, extreme high and low temperatures and turbulent and corrosive atmospheres.
It carries a surprisingly large payload for its size, is well-armored and sturdy, and has good range...but is very lightly armed and only has average acceleration and sensors.
The ship has caught on with smugglers, who convert that lifting power into thrust to greatly increase its speed. Many add additional weapon systems as well.
