The Victorious-Class Heavy Cruiser was first fielded in the middle of the war and quickly sent into mass production. It has increased armor and firepower over the old Armstrong-Class Heavy Cruisers and a greatly expanded docking bay capable of carrying several Hawker light pinnaces and standard shuttles, though it does not carry fighters. It lacks some of the range of the old Armstrongs and is less geared toward exploration and science; the cost of being at war. It is expected that the Armstrong's old role of exploration, scouting and first contact will be better suited to the new Valiant-Class Light Cruisers.
The Victorious is designed to do one thing: wage war.
