The Alexandria Thinktank

Perhaps one of the best known, and yet least known, aspects of the Pre-Human Extraterrestrial Research Institute (PHERI) is the Alexandria Thinktank. Located somewhere on the jungle moon of Alexandria, with access to the treasure trove of ancient alien technology found there, the Thinktank is allegedly staffed by the greatest human minds of the time. Gleaned from schools across known space, PHERI pulls the brightest and the best, gives them virtually unlimited funding and resources, and then lets them loose to just...think....
The Alexandria think tank has gotten credit for everything from advances in faster-than-light travel to strategies that have helped win wars. They are given the most powerful computers, the most bleeding edge scientific technology, and hands-on access to ancient extraterrestrial technology whose mysteries have still not yet been unraveled.
But nobody except the highest security clearance military and PHERI agents are ever allowed inside the thinktank, and the genius scientists, thinkers, philosophers and engineers are given one warning before they go into the thinktank: They will never be allowed to leave again.
