The Doolittle, an expeditionary force military vessel arrives at Derrickson's Landing delivering a garrison of troops and technical personnel. Their mission is to set up a listening post and customs facility on what is anticipated to be a heavily traveled trade route. But that is far in the future, when the planet is terraformed and there's more than a lonely fuel supply depot in orbit.

For the One Planet At A Time project.

Very cool :) The only thing that I can think of that may make it better would be to include its length in the description, because with ships like this it isn't always easy to figure out whether they are 500m long like a a large cruiser, or something more along the lines of a Corellian Blockade Runner

I see, so it's bigger than a dreadnaught (Thrawn series) but smaller than a star destroyer.

Yeah, though I generally don't use either star wars or star trek for scaling purposes. They're awful and pretty random on their ship class designations.

I'll check my modeling program tomorrow as I build to scale, but I think she is in the area of about 3,000 feet.
