"Hold on, I'm recovering from the heart attack. Because it looks like this room is open to the icy blackness of space. I was trained that was bad."

"It's an illusion captain. It is how Fafnir interfaces with the universe around it. And I interface with Fafnir."

"Since I don't see any buttons on that thing and you're an empath, I'm assuming that means..."

"Correct. I have established a psychic link with Fafnir. Don't give me that look, Captain. I have full control."

"Lady...this thing has been floating out here since before life on earth thought coming up on dry land was a good idea. I really doubt you'd keep control of Fafnir if it doesn't want you in control."

"Captain, while Fafnir is somewhat alive, it is a tool. Nothing more, nothing less. A tool we intend to master, for the betterment of all mankind. Now, the admiral brought you in for security. I can only assume he adheres to that old adage about rough men ready to do violence. However, keep your Black Angels out of the way of myself and the research team. Our work here is delicate and should not be disturbed."

"No problem. I'll have a couple guys up here to plant the nuke and you won't see us again for some time."

"Good, I....nuke?"

"Oh yeah, if this is the heart and soul of Fafnir, and things go south, I'm turning this control room into a self-lighting glass hangar bay. Now, if you ladies don't mind. I have to set up security details with my crew..."
