Helium-3 Gas Giant Mining Facility

A typical helium-3 gas mining facility in the upper atmosphere of a gas giant. The small aerostats float out to areas rich with He-3, sucking up millions of tons of atmosphere, filtering out He-3 and some other important gases, and then immediately blows the atmosphere back out. The central facility houses administration, handles shipping and surveying, personnel and long-term storage. Large freighters like the one seen here regularly stop in and take the much-needed gases for sale at various ports for use in fusion reactors.
